HOW TO GET THE JOB:
Appearance in a resume is everything. Tryin to catch an employer's attention is what will probably land someone the job with having the proper credentials. These thumbnails focus on presentation, especially on the name. Being that the name is what the employer will look at first, it'll be best to use some creativity while designing the name on the resume. Including your business logo or statement picture that corresponds with the position that is being sought is also a good "do" when creating a resume. Above are multiple examples of how the name on the resume could be different and unique while catching the employers attention. Also, formatting a resume differently can also be a plus. Rather than having the traditional top to bottom format, change the subheadings such as you contact information, experience, eduction, ect,. Making a resume should be a contributing factor to receiving a new job. Although some people overlook it, it is important.
Hamza Al-Qaisiah:
ReplyDelete- Add lines to the thumbnails 1,5,6,8
- Eighth thumbnail: add lines under the subtitles
- Third thumbnail: Under skills there are bullet points, maybe add bullet points to every subtitle before the lines.
Hamza - please make sure to add reasons "why" to the suggestions you are making about the designs.
Delete-Add more design to the first thumbnail, for example borders around the page or circles/squares around each topic section.
ReplyDelete-The fourth one is very well balanced between design and word use.
-The eighth thumbnail has a great design at the top which is eye catching. Incorporate more lines under each topic section.
-Incorporate lines under the thumbnails that don't include them.
Abbey - HOW is the eighth thumbnail eye catching? HOW is the fourth thumbnail well balanced?
Delete-The logo in the 8th thumbnail is so unique and is something that will really help you stand out to employers.
ReplyDelete-For the second thumbnail, the "bb" could be at the bottom, maybe? while your name is on the top. Both sitting up there seems like too much.
Alexis- HOW is the logo unique? HOW will it make Briana stand out to employers? Good feedback about the second thumbnail. Are there any more thumbnails that are strong, or that you may give feedback about?
DeleteBriana - off to a good start - for the final “comp” use thumbnail #6. There is good use of space with the logo causing the direction to read the name next at the top. Having the sidebar works as a a visual anchor, and offers good asymmetrical balance to the open space opposite that highlights the informational text.
ReplyDeleteMake sure all thumbnails are uniform in size.
